THIS IS WHY I RUN!!!

As many of you know endurance sports are a great part of my life. I have completed over 20 Marathons up to date and completed several Ironman distance races. What got me doing this in the first place was to fulfill a bigger purpose, which for me is doing something to help others.

On November 5th, 2017 I will be running the New York City Marathon for the 8th time. Running New York for me is more about continuing my fundraising legacy and help Team Continuum for the 9th consecutive year!!!! Since the year 2008 I have raised over $35,000 USD!!!

Team Continuum is a charity that cares for the immediate needs of Cancer Patients. I chose this cause to run for all the people in my life that have been and are affected by cancer. In my specific situation my continued inspiration for running has been my father Manuel Vargas, who is a CANCER SURVIVOR!!!
