3 years ago, my father passed away with liver cancer. in 2018 he was diagnosed and was given 8 months to live. Traveling around hospital to hospital taking care of him was the greatest blessing that i got the 5 years after his diagnosis. When i would spend days in the hospital i picked up running but i was always a heavier and bigger guy so it was always hard and helped me get through the hard times. Before his passing i promised i would run a marathon and i thought this would be a good way to approach that goal of mine.
