I want to thank you for everything this year. All of the time and effort that you put into the training plans, benefits, dinners, race day plans and everything in between are so greatly appreciated. I can't imagine how different the experience would have been if I had not run with Team Continuum, and I am so proud to have raised money to support such a worthy group. On a personal level, I also want to thank you so much for your immediate response and willingness to help when I reached out to you about my boyfriend's father who was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He decided to stay in Boston and get hormone treatment at the Lehy clinic, and all is going well so far. Last week he had a body and brain scan and received the amazing news that the cancer has not spread outside of the prostate. That truly made my marathon so much more meaningful. I cannot tell you how much your support helped me stick with my training and finish this race. All of you hold a special place in my life and heart. I will always be grateful that you ran with me on Sunday in my first Marathon. Realize that your support carried me through a grueling race, but monetarily you contributed to an incredible charity. Team Continuum is an organization that I will remain committed to in future endeavors, and below, you will find a letter about a five-year old cancer patient who was among the many finding their immediate needs met through Team Continuum’s belief in Care Not Cure. Three days before the marathon, Hazen lost his battle with cancer. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your team. You have developed a very impressive and inspirational organization. The marathon was grueling, as expected. I finished in 4 hours 39 minutes. I got a huge rush at the beginning knowing that my friends and family had supported me by making donations to Team Continuum. Words can’t explain the feeling. I also felt that same excitement and rush when I crossed the finish line. I did most of the training on my own and I appreciate the advice that your team of coaches gave me on your web site. One thing I noticed was that I did not train enough on hills. There was a lot of up and down in the marathon and that killed me in the 2nd half. I finished the first half in 1 hours 59 minutes and it took me 2 hours and 40 minutes to get thru the 2nd half. Best of luck! Thanks ~Stephan
