Join Team Continuum as a Sponsor

When Team Continuum came together as a volunteer group, to run its first marathon in 2003, there were only 16 athletes who raised over $250,000.  100% of that money went directly to help support cancer patient care programs in hospitals in New York City.

By 2004, Team Continuum had grown to include 65 participants, and in 2005 127 runners were at the starting line.  2006 saw over 350 athletes wearing the colors of Team Continuum and 2007 will see in excess of 600 athletes participating in 5 marathons, from Berlin, to London, to Boston, to Chicago and, finally, New York, where once again we will field the largest independent team.

Team Continuum fully understands and appreciates the value of return on investment.  Last year, 2006, we garnered 20.02m media impressions, receiving a total of 18 minutes of TV air time. We also ran a very successful press campaign in The New York Post, which has a circulation of 665,000 and a daily readership of 2.2m.  This year, we confidently expect to exceed 25m media impression, and our press campaign will be an even bigger success story.

We are pleased to announce that we have secured Discover magazine as a print media sponsor.  With a paid monthly circulation of 700,000 and a pass through readership of 5.5m, Discover magazine is the #1 consumer science magazine in the US.

Additionally our friends at NewsCorp have donated an electronic billboard, located in the heart of Times Square, opposite the NASDAQ.  It will feature a 30 second video commercial, viewed 18 times a day from October 5th through November 4th, the day of The New York City Marathon.

We further anticipate other print and broadcast media sponsorships throughout the coming year.

We believe that not only are we an organization that can deliver the ROI necessary to warrant corporate sponsorship dollars, but the association with Team Continuum also brings a great many other benefits as well.

We are a well-respected organization in the local community for the support we bring to hospitals’ patient programs and individual cancer patients alike.  And, if you think about it, many of the people benefiting from our support are from other states and countries, giving us a national and international profile.

There are, of course, a great many intangible benefits to sponsoring Team Continuum.  Employees of sponsoring organizations get preferential treatment when applying to become members, in many instances guaranteeing entry into the marathon.  The result?  Our mailing lists comprise over 35,000 members and users, largely from an ABC1 background.  Sponsors are given access to these contacts.
