Welcome to Hannah Clark's Team Continuum 2009 ING New York City Marathon - Participating Partner Page !
When Jon was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, he was lucky enough to have good health insurance, amazing doctors, and an incredibly supportive group of family and friends. The same was true for both of our fathers and for many of our close friends. Of course, not everyone is so fortunate, and that's why Team Continuum makes grants to low-income families with children suffering from cancer. Donations help pay for transportation, treatment, rent, and other basic needs. Team Continuum also supports research and treatment by making grants to hospitals, including $85,000 to the NYU Clinical Cancer Institute; $55,000 to Columbia University Medical Center; and $1.1 million to establish a blood cancer treatment center affiliated with Beth Israel.
We are so grateful to all of you for your generous emotional and financial support during Jon's cancer treatment, and through his three Boston Marathons. We are reaching out in the hopes that you will continue supporting us and the cause that we care so deeply about. We understand that giving to charity is difficult in today’s economy. Cancer, however, has no regards for economic booms or busts; indeed, cancer care becomes more difficult during downturns because people are at greater risk of losing their wages and insurance coverage.
We have committed to raising $2,950, and half of it must be raised by September 15. Any support you can offer is greatly appreciated. If you are able to donate, please do one of the following:
- Write a check to Team Continuum and mail it back to us at the address below.
- Click on the green button to the right to make a donation with your credit or debit card
Thank you so much for your time and generosity.
Gratefully,
Jonathan & Hannah
